Job Description

Serve as a part-time mentor, trainer, and technical expert for development teams. Lead daily practical sessions covering Linux administration, containerization, automation, and deployment practices, no preparation or materials required. Support teams with server management, Docker deployments, database optimization, and CI/CD pipelines using flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage Linux environments (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL) and support server setup/configuration.

Deploy/maintain Docker containers with orchestration tools and manage via Portainer.io/Coolify.io.

Configure NGINX Proxy Manager, reverse proxies, DNS, firewalls, and network security.

Administer PostgreSQL databases, including tuning and backups.

Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

Monitor performance/security with Netdata and provide hands-on training.

Mentor developers during flexible hours, accommodating time zones.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of practical Linux system administration experience.

Expertise in Docker containerization/orchestration, SSH server management.

Proficiency in Bash/Python scripting, NGINX/Apache/Traefik reverse proxies.

PostgreSQL administration, network/firewall security, Jenkins/GitHub Actions.

Monitoring tools experience and strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience & Certifications:

Portainer.io, Coolify.io, NGINX Proxy Manager, Fusio API, N8N workflows.

Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC (Terraform/Ansible).

LPIC, Docker Certified Associate, AWS/Azure certifications.

Mentoring experience and flexibility for night/weekend hours.

Technical Requirements:

Mandatory:

  • At least 5+ Years of practical Linux system administration experience
  • Extensive experience with Docker containerization and container orchestration
  • Being capable to easily manage Server via SSH
  • Proficient in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or similar)
  • Strong experience with reverse proxies (NGINX, Apache, Traefik)
  • PostgreSQL database administration and performance optimization
  • Network configuration, firewall management, and security hardening
  • Experience with automated deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions and performance analysis

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience with Portainer.io, Coolify.io, NGINX Proxy Manager
  • Knowledge of Fusio API management platform
  • Experience with N8N workflow automation
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • Linux Professional Institute (LPIC) certification
  • Docker Certified Associate
  • AWS/Azure cloud certifications
  • Desirable Experience:
  • Prior experience in mentoring or teaching technical skills
  • Experience with microservices architecture and API management
  • Knowledge of modern DevOps practices and tools
  • Flexibility to work during night hours and weekends as required
