The Business Manager reports to the Design PM lead. The business manager is responsible for the tactical and operational side of Design Program Management.

As the bank's in-house design organization, the team ensures one integral bank experience across all digital touchpoints globally. The team focuses on delivering quality, setting the direction for future user experiences, and developing the design discipline within the bank. Design Chapter is 90 creatives strong, with a shared purpose to deliver the highest quality, consistent, and coherent experiences that exceed expectations, across platforms and products.

You and your job
You will be part of the Design PM Team and create an environment where design can shine and where designers can be their best selves. The team drives the efficiency and effectiveness of the design process and integrates the design team's workflow into the wider company context. As such your Design PM team is responsible for the support of the whole Chapter.

You act as a sparring partner for the Design PM Lead. You keep track of the management agenda and guide key discussions and decision-making processes. You detect ideas and opportunities for improvements and execute them. You provide structure and overview and execute projects and programs.

Practical Examples
- Keep track of the change roadmap and track progress on milestones.
- Document standardized practices and ways of working, tools, methods, and values.
- Coordinate forecasting and planning budgets
- Coordinate and support the organization of Chapter heartbeat rituals (e.g., Chapter Day and Learning Blocks)

- Supporting 90 and counting designers and researchers
- Coordinate together with chapter leads across 20 Tribes and Chapters

Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Shape and safeguard community & culture.

Coordinates and supports the organization of Chapter heartbeat rituals (e.g.,
Chapter Day, Learning Blocks, Leadership Team), Organizes activities around team engagement. Responsible for internal and external communication regarding Chapter-related news, Manages the studio and supports the Chapter overall in keeping a safe and inspiring, area to work in at the bank. Ensures the organization stays compliant.

2. Develop the design discipline and programs.

Coordinates change roadmap and milestones.
Coordinates recruitment and employee onboarding for the Chapter in alignment with Chapter Leads and in collaboration with the assistant regarding planning/agenda coordinates design academy program and supports the execution of internal and external marketing & communication for the chapter.

3. Enable team via standardization, tools, and dashboards.

Acts as the contact person for Chapter and Vendor Management in terms of purchase of software/tooling support in maintaining an overview and coordinating the budget allocation and organization of internal Chapter social events.
