Junior Project Manager

We are looking for a BEng or MEng graduate mechanical engineer with an interest in project management and design. The successful applicant will form part of a small diverse team responsible for designing, building, testing, and improving thermal waste treatment equipment.

The position will be focused on Project Management but will also contain design aspects and working with the Design and Engineering teams closely to ensure that the required specifications are met.

We seek to fill this position by January 2023.

Major duties and responsibilities

• Project Management

• Management of fabricators and suppliers
• Quality control of products
• Preparing and maintaining project budgets and project plans
• Managing project risks

• Monitoring overall progress and use of resources
• Assessing site requirements

• Mechanical design of high temperature process equipment

• Material selection
• Stress analysis

• Design of supporting structures
• Ensuring designs comply with client requirements
• Mechanical draughting of designs
• Finite element analysis of designed parts
• Equipment specification

Essential requirements

• BEng in mechanical engineering required
• MEng will be an advantage
• Ability to work independently

• Willingness to travel
• Ability to work under pressure with deadlines
