Role Overview
Mentor Media is entering its next chapter, scaling, stabilizing, and strengthening commercial excellence across APAC. We need a Head of Commercial who isn't just a seller, but a strategist, a deal-maker, a storyteller, and a builder. Someone who can turn opportunities into revenue, and clients into long-term partnerships.
This role will lead all commercial and business development activities across the region, working closely with the APAC CEO and global stakeholders to shape the commercial engine that fuels Mentor Medias transformation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Design and execute a regional commercial strategy that aligns with APAC and global business goals.
- Identify, prioritise, and close new business opportunities across key verticals (technology, e-commerce, industrial, FMCG, medtech, etc.).
- Set clear revenue targets and drive predictable, sustainable growth.
- Build pricing frameworks, proposals, and commercial models that protect margins while remaining competitive.
2. Client Relationship Management
- Own C-suite and senior stakeholder relationships for strategic accounts.
- Deep-dive into client needs, pain points, and long-term roadmaps to create tailored, value-driven solutions.
- Resolve escalations with finesse and speed, ensuring client satisfaction and retention remain strong.
3. Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and upskill a regional commercial team (sales, BD, account management).
- Establish KPIs, performance dashboards, and sales governance routines.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Operations, Solutions Design, Finance, HR, and Global Sales to ensure integrated commercial delivery.
- Support the CEO APAC in major bids, global tenders, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure smooth handover from sales to operations with clear SOWs, timelines, and success metrics.
5. Market Intelligence & Brand Building
- Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing dynamics, and client shifts.
- Position Mentor Media as a trusted partner through thought leadership, networking, and industry events.
- Strengthen brand consistency and messaging across all commercial touchpoints.
Key Requirements
Experience
- 12-18+ years in commercial, sales, or business development roles ideally in 4PL, contract logistics, supply chain, or high-tech manufacturing.
- Strong track record of P&L responsibility, commercial wins, and developing high-value accounts.
- Experience managing multi-country commercial teams in Asia.
Skills & Competencies
- Strategic thinker with strong financial and commercial acumen.
- Excellent negotiation, deal-shaping, and contract management skills.
- Ability to translate complex operational solutions into compelling value propositions.
- Relationship-builder who can influence at all levels (internal + external).
- Data-driven mindset with understanding of pricing, modelling, and forecasting.

Reports to: CEO APAC
Partners with: Global Sales, Solutions Design, Operations Directors, Finance, HR
Location
Singapore (Regional role with travel across APAC)
