Join a high-performing team delivering critical power infrastructure projects across Western Australia. We are seeking experienced and safety-focused Cable Jointers to support a variety of customer and network projects throughout metropolitan and regional locations.

About the Role

As a Cable Jointer, you'll play a key role in the delivery of essential electrical infrastructure projects across the Western Power network. Working alongside skilled crews and project stakeholders, you'll ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • LV cable and pillar terminations
  • HV switchgear connections
  • Pad-mounted transformer installations
  • Streetlight and pit terminations
  • Network enhancement and resilience projects
  • Infrastructure upgrades across metropolitan and regional WA
  • Maintaining compliance with all safety, quality and operational requirements
  • Collaborating with field crews, supervisors and stakeholders to deliver successful project outcomes

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be an experienced Cable Jointer with a strong commitment to safety, quality workmanship and teamwork.

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Cable Jointing (UET30819 or equivalent)
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence or MR/HR highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated experience in Distribution Cable Jointing
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Highly Regarded

Candidates possessing any of the following qualifications or authorisations will be highly regarded:

  • Issuing Officer accreditation
  • Recipient In Charge (RIC)
  • eNAR writing experience
  • Paper Lead and LIVE LV qualifications
  • Paper Lead HV / XLPE qualifications
  • NAC card Western Power Network
  • SACs Accreditation
  • EWP Licence
  • HRWL (DG, LF, CV or higher)
