Business Analyst — Individual Life Insurance Migration
Role overview
You will support the migration of individual life insurance policies from a legacy platform to the target system. Your focus is to secure a smooth transition by clarifying requirements, aligning business and IT, validating processes and calculations, and keeping stakeholders informed.
Responsibilities
Analysis
Assess product and process differences between the source and target systems for individual life insurance policies.
Elicit, define, and formalise business and functional requirements to agreed quality standards.
Identify end-to-end process impacts (operations, distribution, servicing, finance, reporting).
Facilitate mutual understanding between business stakeholders and IT teams.
Testing

Prepare test scenarios and data for process and calculation validation.

Execute tests, analyse results, and document defects and remediation actions.
Monitoring & Stakeholder management

Act as the day-to-day liaison between Business, IT, Operations and Distribution.

Provide clear, regular progress reporting on activities, risks, issues and dependencies.

Drive effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, building trusted relationships with clients and suppliers.
Your profile
Essential
-
Deep knowledge of individual life insurance products and processes.

Specific expertise in “Classique” products.

Hands-on experience in life insurance system/data migrations.

Proven track record as a Business Analyst delivering to scope, quality and deadlines; proactive, “can-do” approach.

Autonomy in sourcing information and resolving ambiguities.

University degree in Mathematics (or equivalent experience).

Minimum 5 years’ experience in the life insurance sector.

Familiar with at least one recognised business/process analysis methodology (e.g., BABOK, BPMN, UML).

Proficient in French and English; Dutch is an asset.

Structured, organised and pragmatic, with strong prioritisation skills.

Detail-oriented while able to abstract to the right level depending on context.

Clear, audience-appropriate communication (actuaries, IT, operations, management).
