HEAVY EQUIPMENT OPERATOR (Commercial Site Development)

We need a heavy equipment operator to handle cuts, fills and grading. You will be a key member of our team, working with your colleagues to bring commercial development plans to reality. Depending on the tasks to be completed, you may run excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and rollers. You will report to a project superintendent / foreperson and can work at a variety of sites to prepare the ground for construction.
Basic job duties may include:

• Review plans for daily tasks with supervisor, including blueprints if applicable, to determine the best methods & most efficient operations of equipment / attachments
• Inspect equipment for routine maintenance - cleaning, greasing & oiling machines
• Practice exceptional safety procedures & adhere to all OSHA safety standards
• Follow verbal and hand signals of fellow crew members in positioning loads and coordinating movement with other onsite activity
• Operating and fine grading in congested / high traffic areas
