Job Description:
We are seeking an expert SAP Disclosure Management (FDM) consultant to lead the configuration and deployment of the statutory reporting solution for our customer. The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring the production of Annual Financial Statements (AFS) for three distinct entities (Company Codes).
A critical requirement of this role is the ability to configure FDM to retrieve data directly from multiple data sources, eg. the S/4HANA Universal Journal, SAP ECC 6.0, SAP Business Planning and Consolidation, SAP Business Warehouse and external data sources thereby bridging the gap between manual trial balance loads and compliant statutory output.
Key responsibilities:
Multi-Entity Configuration
AFS Structure Design
Notes to Financial Statements
Data Integration (The ACDOCA Linkage)
Workflow & Compliance
Essential Technical Skills
- SAP Disclosure Management: Minimum 5+ years of hands-on configuration experience in SAP DM (FDM).
- SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA Finance: Strong understanding of the Financial data structures of SAP. Must understand how to map SAP financial master and transactional from back-end systems including external data sources into FDM.
- Excel & Office Integration: Expertise in Excel (macros, data linking) and MS Word integration within the FDM add-in context.
- Accounting Standards: Solid understanding of GRAP (Generally Recognised Accounting Practice) standards required for South African Municipalities.
Specific Project Context
- The consultant must be comfortable configuring FDM to report off this specific dataset without relying on standard sub-ledger drill-down paths.
- mSCOA Knowledge: Familiarity with the Municipal Standard Chart of Accounts (mSCOA) is highly advantageous for mapping data to the AFS line items and creating SAP FDM Data Cache data templates.
