Belay Talent Solutions – Candidate Referral Policy

Belay Talent Solutions (“Belay-TS”, “we”, “us”) welcomes referrals from individuals who wish to recommend potential candidates for employment opportunities. To ensure compliance with POPIA and ethical recruitment practices, the following policy applies to all referrals.

1. Consent of the Referred Individual

• Anyone submitting a referral (“referrer”) must have the explicit permission of the referred individual (“candidate”) before sharing their personal information with Belay-TS.

• By submitting a referral, the referrer confirms that the candidate has:

  • Agreed to be referred to Belay-TS

  • Consented to the sharing of their personal information for recruitment-related purposes

• Belay-TS reserves the right to verify that appropriate consent was obtained.

2. Processing of Referred Candidate Information

• Belay-TS will process referred candidate information in accordance with POPIA and our Candidate Privacy Policy.

• This includes collecting, storing, and sharing candidate information with our clients when assessing suitability for opportunities.

• Referred candidates may be contacted directly by Belay-TS to confirm their consent and interest.

3. No Reward or Compensation

• Belay-TS does not offer any form of reward, payment, incentive, or compensation to referees for submitting referrals.

• Referrals are voluntary and provided at the referrer’s own discretion.

• Referrers acknowledge that Belay-TS has no obligation to provide updates or outcomes relating to referred candidates.

4. Eligibility of Referred Candidates

• Referred candidates must meet the minimum requirements of the relevant opportunity to be considered.

• A referral does not guarantee that the candidate will be contacted, shortlisted, interviewed, or placed.

5. Accuracy of Information

• Referrers must ensure that all information provided about the referred candidate is accurate and up to date.

• Belay-TS is not responsible for any incorrect or incomplete information submitted by referrers.
