The Lead Business Development Consultant will be responsible for driving new business growth through outbound prospecting, opportunity creation, and revenue generation. As a senior member of the sales organization, you will lead by example, share best practices, and contribute to initiatives that strengthen the overall performance of the team.
Role Overview
As a Lead Business Development Consultant, you will be at the forefront of Manatal's growth strategy, owning the full outbound sales cycle from prospecting to opportunity creation. This role is designed for a highly motivated sales professional who enjoys being hands-on in the market, consistently building a pipeline, engaging decision-makers, and delivering strong commercial results.
Beyond your individual contribution, you will be recognized as a senior member of the team who helps elevate performance through knowledge sharing, coaching, and active participation in strategic initiatives. Success in this role will be measured primarily through your ability to generate business impact while positively influencing those around you.
Responsibilities
Proactively identify and target potential new clients through multichannel outbound strategies, including cold calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Conduct initial qualification of leads and set up meetings and product demonstrations for our customer success team management.
- Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects.
- Identify best practices to refine the company's lead generation playbook.
- Monitor competition, economic indicators, and industry trends.
- Manage relationships with key principals through frequent communication and reporting, emphasizing updates on product market situations and development.
- Maintain detailed records of outreach activities, client interactions, and feedback in the CRM.
- Stay updated on Manatal's product offerings, competitor landscape, industry trends, and best practices.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly outreach and lead generation targets.
- Share best practices and support the onboarding and development of new business development team members through mentorship and knowledge transfer.
- Serve as a point of reference for sales excellence by promoting accountability, consistency, and high-performance standards across the team.
- Contribute to strategic departmental projects, process improvements, and new business initiatives that support the company's growth objectives.
- Act as a senior individual contributor within the sales organization, providing market insights, commercial expertise, and leadership through example.
- Other tasks as directed by the CEO or Management.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in an outbound sales or business development role.
- At least 1 year of experience in team leadership or management.
- Fluent communication in English.
- Additional languages (Spanish) are a big plus.
- Demonstrated success in a B2B sales environment.
- Prior experience with software solution sales or within the recruitment industry is an advantage.
- Proven track record of successfully sourcing and qualifying leads.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using CRM and prospecting tools and implementing AI prompts.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership capabilities, with a demonstrated ability to influence, mentor, and elevate team performance through collaboration and example.
