Position: Technical IT Specialist

Based in Malta and reporting directly to the Operations Manager – Technical & Sales Division, the selected candidate will install, service, and maintain cash machines and queuing automation systems while providing hardware and software support, including troubleshooting, scripting, and system monitoring. The role involves client interaction, delivering training, and promoting solutions professionally.

Technical Operations

  • Install, service, and maintain cash automated machines and queuing automation systems.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including online platforms and cloud-based services.
  • Perform fault analysis, repair or replace faulty parts, and ensure all systems are fully operational.
  • Maintain and calibrate tools, instruments, and technical equipment.
  • Assist other technicians with complex technical problems.

IT & Software Support

  • Configure, monitor, and support online platforms related to cash machines and queuing systems.
  • Apply basic scripting or programming (e.g., Python, SQL) to automate tasks, analyse logs, or troubleshoot software issues.
  • Understanding of API protocols and architectures, including RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status codes.
  • Keep up-to-date with software updates, patches, and platform improvements.
  • Document technical issues, resolutions, and system configurations for future reference.

Customer Interaction & Training

  • Provide professional technical guidance and training to clients and colleagues.
  • Participate in business development meetings to give technical input.
  • Promote the companys products and services to clients in an enthusiastic manner.

Administration & Reporting

  • Maintain organized records of servicing, installations, and technical issues.
  • Assist management in analysing service costs and ensuring accurate, timely invoicing.
  • Maintain an organized workspace including tools, spare parts, and documentation.

Professional Development

  • Participate in local and overseas training programs as required.
  • Train junior technical staff when needed.
  • Stay current with the latest technical and IT developments in cash machines, queuing systems, and related platforms.
  • Provide after-hours support when necessary.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with hardware installation, servicing, or maintenance (preferably automated systems).
  • Basic IT skills, including troubleshooting software and online platforms.
  • Familiarity with networking, cloud services, and system interfaces.
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python, SQL, PowerShell, etc.) is an advantage but not

    mandatory.

  • Understanding of API protocols and architectures, including RESTful services, HTTP methods, and status

    codes.

  • Strong problem-solving skills, tech-savvy, and keen to learn new technologies.
  • Good English communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
  • Willingness to work on standby or after-office hours support when required.
