Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Senior Merchandiser to join our client's retail team. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional with strong commercial awareness, responsible for driving performance across retail channels through detailed analysis, stock optimisation, and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take full ownership of omni-channel stock inventory, assortment planning, and availability
- Oversee order management processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy
- Support pricing strategies and develop impactful promotional campaigns
- Collaborate with buyers to plan product ranges and seasonal stock strategies
- Forecast demand and optimise sales performance and profitability across product categories
- Monitor and control stock levels in line with forecasts and seasonal trends
- Analyse product performance, identifying best-selling trends across pricing, styles, and colours
- Partner with marketing on digital merchandising optimisation, including taxonomy and product sorting
- Track market trends and competitor activity, recommending actionable strategies
- Identify slow-moving stock and implement corrective actions
- Gather customer insights and translate them into business improvements
- Analyse historical and current season data to support decision-making
- Prepare and deliver daily, weekly, and monthly KPI reports
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate master data creation
- Manage product hierarchies and maintain data consistency across systems
- Ensure master data integrity and resolve data quality issues proactively
- Support process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Work closely with IT and business units to align systems and data requirements
- Perform data cleansing to maintain optimal system performance
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within fashion retail
- Strong analytical mindset with solid business acumen
- Relevant qualification in business, retail, or a related field
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office tools
- Experience with stock and inventory management systems
