MEP Tendering & Procurement Officer

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an MEP Tendering & Procurement Officer to join our client's team.

The role will support both tendering and procurement activities within a busy MEP contracting environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying tender opportunities, preparing commercial and technical submissions, sourcing suppliers, negotiating commercial terms, and supporting ongoing projects with accurate and timely procurement.

The position requires a commercially minded professional with strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills, together with a good understanding of construction and MEP documentation. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with BOQs, technical drawings, tender documents, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Manage tender opportunities and prepare complete tender submissions, including BOQs, pricing schedules, technical documentation, and compliance requirements.
• Review tender specifications and drawings, identify technical or commercial risks, and coordinate clarifications and site visits.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with local and international suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare supplier comparisons, maintain cost databases, raise purchase orders, and monitor deliveries and supplier performance.
• Coordinate closely with engineering and site teams to ensure procurement activities support project requirements, budgets, and deadlines.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in procurement, tendering, estimating, quantity surveying, construction, or the MEP sector.
• Good understanding of BOQs, tender documentation, MEP/construction terminology, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Fluency in English and Maltese, with strong communication, negotiation, analytical, and organisational skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and cost modelling; experience with estimating or ERP systems is advantageous.
• Based in Malta with legal right to work, a valid driving licence, and own vehicle.
