Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of local and international clients on tax compliance and selected advisory matters.
  • Review and approve tax computations, tax returns, and refund claims.
  • Ensure all client deadlines are met effectively and on time.
  • Support and improve internal tax processes and procedures.
  • Delegate, review, and oversee work completed by junior team members.
  • Identify documentation and information requirements for tax engagements.
  • Develop and implement templates and standardised working procedures.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Monitor local and international tax developments.
  • Coach, mentor, and support junior colleagues.
  • Contribute to internal training initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Requirements

  • ACCA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience within a tax environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Maltese tax legislation and tax compliance requirements.
  • Ability to apply technical tax knowledge to complex scenarios.
  • Knowledge of VAT and/or Transfer Pricing will be considered an advantage.
  • Strong project management and client relationship skills.
  • Excellent organisational and communication abilities.
  • Fluency in Maltese and English.
