Product Owner

Product Owners are not simply backlog managers, they are value creators who shape the future of our products and the working lives of thousands of users. You will advocate for our clients users, connect teams, and ensure every decision advances their mission to deliver reliable, high-impact HR, payroll, and business solutions.

Core Responsibilities

• Act as a strong advocate for users, ensuring their needs are at the heart of every decision and solution.
• Break down product goals into clear, actionable tasks and priorities for the team.
• Prepare detailed epics and stories including acceptance criteria for all tasks.
• Work closely with engineering, sales, customer support, customer success, and marketing to drive success.
• Refine, plan, and prioritise features based on business value, customer feedback, and market trends.
• Organise and balance stakeholder needs to ensure timely, impactful feature delivery.
• Lead impact assessments with stakeholders to measure and maximise business and customer outcomes.
• Ensure all deliverables meet acceptance criteria, quality standards, and deliver real value.
• Keep all stakeholders informed about progress, priorities, and the reasoning behind key decisions.
• Regularly review team performance, provide feedback, and help improve how we work together.
• Monitor industry trends and competitors to ensure our products remain best-in-class.
• Maintain all product requirements and documentation accurately and up to date.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Product Owner or similar role in software development.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work independently.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Effective negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to deliver products that meet client needs and help drive company growth.

Desirable/Assets

• A passion for technology and continuous learning.
• Domain knowledge in payroll, attendance, accounts, or inventory systems.
• Understanding of SaaS products and business models.
• Product Owner and/or project management certification(s).
• Degree in technology, business, or equivalent experience.
