We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Executive to join a dynamic finance team within a well-established and reputable distribution and retail group. This full-time role is ideal for an individual looking to deepen their experience in accounting and financial operations, contributing to efficient financial management and reporting processes. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the selected candidate will support core financial functions and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.

Responsibilities / Duties

  • Oversee daily accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

  • Assist in preparing monthly financial and management reports

  • Perform reconciliations of accounts and monitor transactional accuracy

  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process with relevant financial data

  • Maintain proper financial documentation aligned with company policies and regulatory guidelines

  • Prepare and file VAT returns in accordance with statutory deadlines

  • Handle month-end and year-end closing procedures

  • Carry out bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies

  • Record and post journal entries related to customer contracts and revenue recognition

Requirements / Qualifications

  • 23 years of experience in a finance or accounting role

  • Actively pursuing or holding a qualification in Accounting (e.g., ACCA or University degree)

  • Proficient in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

  • Strong analytical skills and a high level of accuracy in work output

  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively within a team

Nice-to-have

  • Prior experience in the FMCG or retail industry

  • Familiarity with ERP systems or cloud-based financial software

  • Exposure to financial analysis or audit support tasks
