Accountant

Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our client's team. The selected candidate will be responsible for managing financial reporting, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and improving internal financial processes. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to lead and support a team while collaborating across departments. The Accountant will play a key role in budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and providing financial insights to support business decisions and overall company performance.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts and ensure timely submission
• Compile and submit VAT returns in line with regulations
• Monitor and improve internal control procedures and financial processes
• Support budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and cost control activities
• Manage and guide the accounts team to ensure accuracy and efficiency

Key Requirements:

• ACCA qualified or in final stages, or a degree in Accounting/Finance
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, VAT, and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting/ERP systems
• Experience in cost accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
