Overview
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Shipping Logistic Clerk to join our client's team for an office-based role.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage all logistics documentation related to sea, air, and land shipments (e.g., shipping documents, customs declarations, certificates of origin), in compliance with regulations and company procedures
- Coordinate operational activities with shipping agents, couriers, 3PL partners, and other logistics service providers.
- Monitor shipment status and provide updates to clients and the internal team on progress and potential delays.
- Handle customs clearance processes and support customs brokerage operations.
- Assist in coordinating operations for yachting sector clients (yacht agency, transportation, concierge logistics).
- Support the management of special logistics projects, such as critical or time-sensitive shipments (e.g., pharmaceuticals, engine spare parts).
- Maintain accurate records and an efficient filing system for all operational documentation and communications.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role within shipping, logistics, or customs brokerage (experience in maritime, yacht logistics, or 3PL will be highly valued).
- Strong knowledge of customs regulations and main shipping documents (House B/L, CMR, AWB, etc.).
- Proficiency in using IT tools (MS Office; TMS/WMS or specific logistics software will be considered an asset).
- Accuracy, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively, even under pressure, with internal teams and external counterparts.
- Proven team player with the ability to prioritise tasks in dynamic environments.
- Fluency in English (Maltese or Italian would be an asset).
