About the job Sourcing and Supplier Manager
Sourcing :
- Source new material suppliers to support overall OCL coming business development.
- Define key cost drivers & set up cost improvement plan to reduce overall material costs, including price reduction, payment terms & delivery terms improvement, quality improvement, etc.
- Monitor & manage supplier performance to meet company requirement on cost, quality, compliance & service. Set up suppliers development plan to drive continues improvement.
- Support Quality & PMC team when supplier could not performance.
- Mention & keep updating suppliers information, material prices, LT, all related commercial terms in ERP system.
- Generate supplier scope cards & review with suppliers regularly.
- Plan & execute supplier annual audits with all internal teams.
- Review & input RFQs raw material costs, make sure material quality & other cost factors have been algin with OCL stakeholders.
- Search for alternative and back up potential suppliers though creative ways (exhibition, internet, networking)
- Support Technical teams (ie. Tooling engineer, SQE, Regional R&D) to resolve design issues impacting on Supplier performance.
- Negotiation of sub-contracts, including appropriate Custom flow down to support project budget constraints and achieve timely performance whilst minimizing program risk and exploiting program opportunities
- Identifying risks and opportunities and creating plans to mitigate and realize them
- Work with the project team to conduct and settle any legal claims and disputes pertaining to subcontract.
Business Development :
- Works with the GM in pursuing any opportunities in the local market /Asia Pacific to increase customer base of OCL and provide fillers during lean months.
- Development and execution of market sourcing strategy in electronics and passive commodities via full market knowledge, supplier rationalization, predictable and industry leading commodity pricing plan, cost modeling through transparent supplier relationship, and effective principles to drive efficiency and cost
Qualifications:
More than 5 years of working experience as sourcing/merchandiser in consumer electronic items, having production knowledge will be in advance.
Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, excellent collaboration, and teamwork skills
An ability to think logically and critically to weigh the various available operations and take the best decision in favour of efficient production
Posses the active listening and fast reading skills to take desired steps in flick of seconds
Quick decision making and excellent time management skills
Ability to act with sense of urgency as the need demand
Excellent leadership skills
