QA Engineering Lead

The platform unifies payments, billing, collections, SIS, and academic workflows, supporting thousands of schools and hundreds of thousands of families.

The company is scaling rapidly, with a strong focus on reliability, automation, and AI-driven quality.

Role Overview

We are looking for a QA Engineering Lead to build the Quality function from the ground up.

This is a foundational leadership role responsible for defining QA strategy, automation frameworks, AI-assisted testing systems, and quality standards across all mission-critical financial and operational workflows.

You will work closely with backend, platform, and AI teams to embed intelligent testing, anomaly detection, and automated triage into CI/CD pipelines—directly impacting platform stability and customer trust at scale.

What Youll Do

• Build and own the QA automation and quality strategy end-to-end

• Design automated testing for high-impact financial flows (payments, billing, reconciliation, SIS)

• Partner with AI engineers to implement AI-assisted test generation and anomaly detection

• Define QA standards, release criteria, and quality gates

• Embed quality practices early in development (shift-left)

• Hire, mentor, and scale the QA team over time

Tech Stack

Python (FastAPI), Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, event-driven microservices.

Requirements

• 7+ years in QA, with 3+ years in QA leadership or automation roles

• Strong experience building automation frameworks from scratch

• Deep knowledge of API, backend, and integration testing

• Experience with CI/CD, microservices, and asynchronous systems

• Fluent in Spanish and English

Nice to have: fintech or payments experience, message queues (Kafka/SQS), performance testing, AI-enabled testing exposure.
