Responsibilities and Challenges
As the Head of Sales, you will manage a diverse and high-performance team of hunters, farmers, and Key Account Managers (KAMs). You will play a crucial role in scaling our sales engine and driving sustained growth in a competitive market. This position requires an individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a deep understanding of foodservice industries in Mexico. The key responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and scale the sales team, including 3 hunters, 3 people who are a blend of farmers and KAMs, and future hires as we scale to a 30-person team by year-end.
  • Hiring & Training: Scale hiring processes for hunters, farmers, and KAMs through an extensive recruitment strategy, focusing on talent from the foodservice industry. Develop and implement a comprehensive Recruiting Playbook with onboarding and training manuals to ensure rapid ramp-up.
  • Sales Performance: Oversee the entire sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring high productivity from each salesperson and hitting defined GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) targets.
  • Strategy Development: Work closely with senior leadership to set the sales strategy, define sales targets, and ensure the execution of growth objectives.

Ideal Profile
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in both individual sales and team management. This person must be results-driven, thrive under pressure, and possess exceptional leadership skills to guide a rapidly growing sales team.

Experience Required:

  • Sales Experience: Significant experience in high-growth startups, particularly in the foodservice industry (restaurants, food distributors, etc.), with a history of driving growth in competitive markets.
  • Team Management: Proven success managing a team of at least 5 salespeople in a high-performance environment.
  • High-Growth Startup Mentality: Experience working in a high-growth startup environment and the ability to get hands-on with scaling efforts in the early stages.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in foodservice (particularly in Mexico) or related industries is essential.

Tools & Skills:

  • Expertise in managing CRM tools (preferably HubSpot).
  • Strong proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
  • Ability to roll up your sleeves and actively contribute to both strategic and tactical efforts.
