About the job Program Lead Angels (Latitud)

Job Description

Latitud Program Lead

Join the early days of an organization transforming the tech startup ecosystem in Latin America.

A number of factors have coalesced to make the next 10 years truly transformational in terms of the creation of world-class tech startups.

But building companies in Latin America is particularly difficult, and not to mention a very lonely journey. Latitud brings together the most brilliant entrepreneurs in the region for tactical support, a sense of community, exceptional mentorship, warm introductions and tools to maximize their chance of success through a remote-native program. So far, founders love us.

Latitud was created by Brian Requarth, who founded, scaled and sold Viva Real for US$600M, Gina Gotthilf, who led growth at Duolingo from 3M to 200M users, and Yuri Danilchenko, the former CTO at Kaszek-backed Escale.

Latitud is in its early, early days so you will have the opportunity to contribute to the strategy and culture we build together.

The job:

TLDR, you will own the end-to-end strategy and execution of our Angels Fellowship while serving as connecting bridge between investors and our founders Fellowship (Explore). Youll:

  • Design the strategy of the program: structure, content, communication;
  • Create and execute strategies to increase average investment per Angel, while creating systems and channels to connect angel fellows with founders;
  • Based on the program's goals, you will design growth strategies to increase applications both outbound and inbound for the program;
  • Manage all program admissions. This includes running and continuously improving our application tracking system, reviewing all applicants, and managing communications with them throughout the process, and the interviewing and selection process.
  • Create and publish all fellow communications throughout the program to keep everyone informed and engaged, from emails to Slack messages and more;
  • Curriculum design: plan content and sessions, book guest speakers, and prepare them for their sessions.
  • Build relationships with fellows, mentors, and speakers.
  • Facilitate and run deal debates where angel investors assess opportunities;
  • Strategize and implement program improvements according to NPS and fellows' satisfaction;
  • Foster and nurture the best angel investor community in Latin America: Make sure fellows feel part of a warm community on a daily basis!
  • Make sure every fellow has an amazing experience as part of Latitud!

You are:

  • Extremely organized and attentive to detail; you like documentation, structure, and process.
  • Known for being proactive: you don't wait for instructions if you can see opportunities to help or improve something.
  • Kind and helpful: you enjoy going out of your way to help others around you.
  • Scrappy and resourceful, always looking to work around obstacles.
  • Emotionally and socially smart: you enjoy building new relationships and pride yourself on your ability to read and understand other humans' needs.
  • Excited about working at a startup with an understanding that it will sometimes feel chaotic and malleable and that you'll be building from scratch rather than using a playbook for almost everything.
  • Flexible and adaptable.
  • You have knowledge of Fundraising, VC and early-stage investing.
  • A strong English language communicator.

Why Latitud? You'll love working with us if you want to...

  • Learn from the best minds in the ecosystem (VCs, entrepreneurs, and team leads at top startups) as you make sure each event runs smoothly.
  • Make a memorable difference in the trajectory of the next generation of world-class tech companies coming out of Latin America.
  • Be part of a mission-driven organization from its very early days, helping shape its future significantly.
  • Work alongside well-connected industry thought leaders.
  • Thrive in a flexible, innovation-focused environment that welcomes new ideas and tools.
  • Be part of an awesome team. Our small team is A+ :)

Why not Latitud? You will not love working with us if you want to...

  • Have a very well-defined job.
  • Work at an established, process-oriented company.
  • Work 9-5 hours.
  • Find problems but not jump to help solve them.
  • Have a very clear career ladder at your next job rather than help build it.
  • Avoid conversations about diversity. We are very pro-diversity and often brainstorm ways to improve it in our team and the startup ecosystem. If talking about gender, racial, etc. makes you uncomfortable or annoyed, this is not a great place for you.

  • Work from anywhere (100% remote)
  • Generous equity
  • Health insurance covered 100% (including dependents)
  • Monthly Co-working allowance or annual Home Office bonus
  • Generous parental leave and paid vacation
  • Two international team trips per year on us!
