Construction Manager – QSR Franchise Group

Location: Remote (Field-Based) | Travel: Up to 70% within assigned region

Are you a builder who thrives on the fast pace of the Quick Service Restaurant industry? Our well-established franchise group is looking for a Construction Manager to turn dirt into high-performing restaurants.

As a remote, field-based leader, you will be the bridge between blueprints and grand openings. We aren't just looking for someone who can read a schedule; we need a "closer" who can manage multiple GC relationships, keep costs in check, and ensure our stores are built to the highest brand standards—on time and under budget.

The Role

You will oversee the entire construction phase of our development pipeline, from pre-con to the moment we hand the keys to the Operations team. Youll be responsible for ensuring every site meets our "Gold Standard" before the first taco is served.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Manage 5–10 active construction projects simultaneously across multiple states.
• GC Management: Qualify, hire, and supervise General Contractors; ensure they adhere to timelines, safety protocols, and quality standards.
• Budget Control: Review bids, manage change orders, and keep projects within the established pro-forma.
• Site Visits: Conduct regular on-site inspections to verify progress, troubleshoot field issues, and ensure brand compliance.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Real Estate and local utilities to ensure a seamless handoff from site acquisition to build-out.
• Punch List & Closeout: Lead the final walkthrough, manage the punch list, and secure all necessary COs (Certificates of Occupancy).

What You Bring to the Table

• Experience: 5+ years of construction management experience, specifically in QSR, retail, or hospitality (ground-up and "scrape-and-build" experience is a must).
• Technical Skill: Deep understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems, kitchen equipment installation, and ADA requirements.
• Road Warrior Mentality: You love the field. You are willing to travel extensively (70%+) to project sites.
• Communication: Ability to manage GCs firmly while providing clear, professional updates to the executive team via remote reporting tools.
• Efficiency: Proven ability to hit "Grand Opening" dates with precision.
