Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic, technically strong Head of Finance to lead our global finance function, overseeing a team of 13 professionals based in the UK/I, India, and South Africa. With 20 legal entities spanning the UK, USA, India, Republic of Ireland, and South Africa, this is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring robust financial control, insightful reporting, and strategic financial guidance.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with senior leadership, this role offers a rare opportunity to shape a high-performing finance function within a fast-growing, multi-jurisdictional business. 

Key Responsibilities:

Finance Leadership

  • Lead and manage a geographically distributed finance team of 13, covering Payroll, Credit Control, Management Accounts, and FP&A.
  • Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture across time zones and functions.
  • Develop team capabilities and embed a culture of continuous improvement.

Group Financial Oversight

  • Deliver timely and accurate management accounts for 20 legal entities.
  • Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations across the UK, USA, India, Ireland, and South Africa.
  • Maintain strong financial controls and group-wide financial governance.

FP&A and Strategic Support

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management across the group.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and scenario modelling to support commercial decision-making.
  • Partner with the MD and senior stakeholders to shape and execute business strategy.

System Management & Process Improvement

  • Oversee group-wide use of Xero, ensuring consistency and optimisation of reporting and workflows.
  • Identify and lead system improvements, automation opportunities, and digital transformation projects within finance.
  • Champion process efficiency and data accuracy across all finance operations.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a key finance business partner to leadership, operational heads, and international teams.
  • Liaise with external advisors, auditors, banks, and regulatory bodies across jurisdictions.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role managing multiple legal entities and jurisdictions.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge with a hands-on approach to group consolidations and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership of international finance teams.
  • Expertise in Xero and related reporting tools; strong systems and automation mindset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with proven business partnering experience.
  • Ability to work across cultures and time zones effectively.
