Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Clinical Lead to provide strategic clinical leadership across our organisation. This is a vital role ensuring the highest standards of clinical practice, safeguarding, and service delivery across our mental health programs.

The Clinical Lead will work closely with operational teams, senior leadership, and external partners to enhance the quality, safety, and impact of our services placing people with lived experience at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities

As the Clinical Lead Mental Health, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality, safety, and direction of our mental health services. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring a deep understanding of clinical governance, mental health best practices, and person-centered care across multiple service types.

Clinical Leadership & Governance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor robust clinical governance frameworks across all mental health services, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards of care.
  • Ensure all services operate in line with regulatory standards (CQC, NICE, NHS Frameworks, etc.) and contribute to inspection readiness.
  • Lead safeguarding strategies, including incident management, root cause analysis, and learning reviews.
  • Provide expert consultation on complex cases, including high-risk service users, ensuring appropriate escalation and multi-agency involvement.

Quality Improvement & Service Development

  • Identify areas for clinical improvement and drive the implementation of quality initiatives across services.
  • Collaborate with service managers and quality teams to embed a culture of continuous learning, reflective practice, and accountability.
  • Use data and outcomes to inform clinical decisions and service redesign.
  • Support the evaluation and development of innovative service models aligned with trauma-informed and recovery-focused care.

Team Development & Support

  • Provide ongoing clinical supervision, mentoring, and training for mental health staff across services including nurses, support workers, and allied health professionals.
  • Lead on staff development initiatives, including clinical induction, CPD programs, and performance support.
  • Model and promote psychologically safe and inclusive team environments.

Strategic & Operational Input

  • Act as the clinical voice within the senior leadership team, contributing to strategic planning, risk assessments, and service expansion decisions.
  • Work with Marva Group's subsidiary companies to ensure consistent and high-quality clinical practice across care homes, domiciliary care, and recruitment services involving mental health provision.
  • Engage with commissioners, NHS partners, and other stakeholders to maintain collaborative relationships and secure sustainable service delivery.

Advocacy, Engagement & Compliance

  • Represent Marva Group at external meetings, panels, or forums relating to mental health policy, service delivery, or safeguarding.
  • Lead co-production initiatives with people who have lived experience of mental health challenges to shape service delivery.
  • Ensure services are culturally competent and address health inequalities, particularly in underserved communities.
