About Muve Healthcare USA

Muve Healthcare USA is a recruitment specialist operating across the U.S., based in Texas, connecting healthcare professionals including nurses, allied health, APRNs, and physicians with clients in need. Their services spans Per Diem, Travel, Locum Tenens, and Allied divisions.

Role Summary

The Senior Recruiter Travel Market will lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment of healthcare professionals for travel assignments. This role involves sourcing, interviewing, and placing candidates, while building and maintaining a robust pipeline of travel clinicians. The Senior Recruiter also works closely with internal stakeholders including operations, credentialing, licensing, account management, and client service teams to ensure assignments are staffed efficiently and compliantly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for travel positions (nurses, allied health, etc.): sourcing, screening, credentialing/licensing, offer negotiation, onboarding.

  • Build, grow, and maintain a high-quality candidate pipeline, proactively sourcing both active and passive healthcare professionals.

  • Partner with internal teams (account management, operations, clinical leadership) to understand client needs and match candidates appropriately.

  • Ensure compliance with all licensing, credentialing, and regulatory requirements for travel assignments.

  • Negotiate compensation and assignment terms with candidates.

  • Mentor and potentially supervise junior recruiters or recruitment coordinators.

  • Track, analyze, and report on recruiting metrics: fill rates, time-to-fill, candidate quality, pipeline health, offers accepted vs. rejected, etc.

  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce time-to-fill, and improve candidate/client experience.

  • Maintain excellent candidate experience, from first contact through travel assignment conclusion.

  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, travel market pay, licensing requirements, facility/client expectations, and competitor offerings.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Several years (typically 3-5+) of recruiting experience in the healthcare staffing / travel nurse / allied health travel market.

  • Strong knowledge of travel healthcare (how assignments work, licensing / credentialing, comp structures, etc.).

  • Excellent sourcing skills: passive candidate outreach, referrals, use of job boards / social media, and direct recruiting.

  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to explain trade-offs clearly (e.g. pay vs location vs assignment duration).

  • Worked with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) or candidate database tools; able to manage large candidate pipelines.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Must be persuasive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure.

  • Strong customer service orientation: understanding both candidate needs and client/facility needs.

  • Analytical mindset: using metrics/data to drive decisions and improvements.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team; sometimes across multiple time zones.

Preferred / Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience supervising or mentoring others in recruitment.

  • Experience with U.S. based travel nurse contracts and clients, especially with regulatory/licensing compliance.

  • Familiarity with travel healthcare compensation / per diem / stipend structures.

  • Experience in building employer branding / candidate marketing in the travel space.
