To support our next phase of growth, we are seeking an experienced CQC Operations Director to lead our services, drive operational excellence, and champion person-centred care.

Role Purpose

The CQC Operations Director will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across all services. They will ensure we consistently meet and exceed CQC regulatory standards, deliver safe and compassionate care, and create an environment where service users and staff can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support Registered Managers across supported living services and residential care homes.

  • Ensure all services maintain strong CQC compliance and deliver outstanding quality outcomes.

  • Oversee governance, safeguarding, risk management, and continuous improvement frameworks.

  • Develop operational strategies that enhance service delivery for individuals with mental health needs and physical disabilities.

  • Partner with commissioners, local authorities, and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and grow our reputation.

  • Drive performance improvement across services, using data and audits to monitor quality and outcomes.

  • Promote a culture of empowerment, inclusion, and respect for staff and service users.

  • Play a key role in shaping growth, expansion, and transformation within the organisation.

Person Specification

Essential

  • Significant senior leadership experience in health and social care.

  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and quality frameworks.

  • Demonstrated success managing services for people with mental health needs and physical disabilities.

  • Experience overseeing multiple sites, including supported living and residential care.

  • Excellent leadership and team development skills.

  • Strong financial and operational acumen.

  • Skilled communicator with the ability to build strong external partnerships.

Desirable

  • Proven track record of improving CQC ratings across multiple services.

  • Relevant professional qualifications in social care, health, or management.

  • Experience leading growth or turnaround strategies in complex care services.
