About the job Registered Manager - CQC
Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and values-driven Registered Manager to lead our 6-bed mental health care home. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care, compliance with CQC regulations, and the effective leadership of staff to support individuals with mental health needs in a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Hold legal responsibility as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.

Ensure compliance with CQC Fundamental Standards, relevant legislation, and best practice in mental health care.

Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the care team, promoting a culture of compassion, professionalism, and accountability.

Oversee all aspects of care delivery, ensuring person-centred care plans meet the individual needs and aspirations of residents.

Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed and that the home promotes safety and dignity at all times.

Maintain accurate records, audits, and documentation in line with regulatory requirements.

Manage recruitment, induction, and training of staff to maintain a skilled and motivated workforce.

Monitor performance, provide supervision, and conduct appraisals to support staff development.

Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external stakeholders.

Take responsibility for the homes budget, resources, and operational efficiency.

Drive continuous improvement within the service, preparing for inspections and achieving Good or Outstanding CQC ratings.
Requirements:

Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or equivalent within a mental health or social care setting.

In-depth knowledge of CQC regulations, safeguarding, and mental health legislation.

Strong leadership and staff management skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards).
