Salary: $180,000
Schedule: M–F 8:30am–4:30pm + limited remote coverage | Rotating weekends
Setting: 40-bed acute care hospital | ADC: 33

This is a high-visibility, hands-on leadership opportunity for a Pharmacy leader who wants to stay clinically engaged while driving department performance. This role sits on the senior leadership team and reports directly to the CEO, offering strong influence across hospital operations.

Overview

This is a working Director role, meaning you'll actively function as both the Pharmacist and departmental leader. You'll oversee pharmacy operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead a small, collaborative team while maintaining day-to-day clinical involvement.

What You'll Do

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Pharmacy department
  • Work directly as a Pharmacist while managing departmental responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
  • Oversee medication management systems, including Pyxis
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 (1 FT Pharmacist, 1 PT Pharmacist, 2 PRN)
  • Partner with executive leadership to support hospital-wide initiatives
  • Maintain coverage model including rotating weekends and limited remote hours

Schedule Details

  • Monday–Friday: 8:30am – 4:30pm
  • Evening: Remote coverage after 7pm (as needed)
  • Saturday: 8:00am – 12:00pm
  • Sunday: Remote coverage until 1:00pm
  • Every other weekend required

What You Bring

  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing (state-specific)
  • Degree from an accredited pharmacy program (or equivalent certification)
  • Minimum 2+ years of pharmacy leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong operational and clinical background
  • Hospital experience highly preferred
  • Ability to balance leadership responsibilities with hands-on clinical work
