We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic Quality RN Director for a reputable healthcare facility in North Carolina. This leadership role reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and is vital in driving quality improvement, patient safety, and risk mitigation efforts throughout the organization.

About the Role:
The Quality RN Director will oversee all aspects of the hospitals risk management program, including incident investigation, claims management (in collaboration with legal counsel), and regulatory compliance. This role is also responsible for patient safety initiatives, Joint Commission readiness, and the implementation of national safety goals. The Director will lead the facility's Corporate Compliance Program and chair the Ethics Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and evaluate quality and risk management operations across the facility
  • Develop and implement strategic departmental goals in line with organizational standards
  • Lead and monitor staffing efforts, including hiring, onboarding, and professional development
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain departmental budgets and financial oversight
  • Coordinate internal and external audits for risk, compliance, and quality control
  • Drive training and education efforts for staff, providers, and board members regarding compliance and patient safety
  • Serve as the hospitals Patient Safety Officer and ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards across all operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Nursing required
  • Active NC RN license or Multistate Nursing License required
  • BLS preferred (American Heart Association)
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare risk management or claims investigation
  • At least 3 years of related experience in quality, compliance, or clinical leadership
  • Familiarity with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
  • Prior management or supervisory experience strongly preferred
