Surgical Services Director – New Jersey
Salary: $157,000 – $220,000 + Relocation Assistance

This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced perioperative nurse leader ready to take ownership of a growing surgical services program and drive meaningful operational transformation.

You'll have full 24/7 accountability for perioperative services across a 128-bed acute care hospital, including the OR, PACU, same day surgery, sterile processing, endoscopy, and pre-op optimization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can elevate performance, expand surgical volume, and partner effectively with physicians and executive leadership.

What You'll Do

  • Lead all clinical, operational, and financial aspects of surgical services
  • Drive OR efficiency, throughput, and block utilization to support growth
  • Standardize workflows, improve scheduling access, and optimize case volume
  • Build and stabilize teams while reducing reliance on contract staff
  • Partner with surgeons to enhance collaboration and support program expansion
  • Ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance

What You Bring

  • RN license (New Jersey) and BSN required (Master's preferred or in progress)
  • 2–3+ years of perioperative leadership experience (OR required)
  • Proven ability to lead through change, growth, and performance improvement
  • Strong understanding of KPIs such as block utilization and turnover times
  • Visible, hands-on leadership style with the ability to engage staff and physicians
