5 Axis Manufacturing Engineer

  • At least 5 years of experience specifically working with milled parts, and taking on more responsibility over time.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience operating machining equipment.
  • Experience using CAD/CAM software to program CNC machines (Siemens NX is a plus). Comfortable writing G&M Code.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools and how to hold parts in place during machining. Experience with quick-change tools and automation is a bonus.
  • Good understanding of how to design efficient processes for CNC machining of complex parts.
  • Experience developing automated and advanced manufacturing processes.
  • Able to read blueprints and understand technical drawings, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Must have experience programming 5-axis machining centers. Familiarity with machines such as Okuma MU-4000V, MU-5000V, MU-8000V, and Mazak I-600is a plus.
  • Experience machining complex parts using a variety of aerospace materials like aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel.
