Job Role
The Country Manager – Italy will be responsible for developing and scaling the company's residential energy storage business throughout the Italian market. This role focuses on building distributor channels, managing strategic B2B relationships, and driving localized sales growth for household ESS products and smart residential energy solutions.
Acting as an independent commercial leader, the successful candidate will oversee the full B2B sales lifecycle, including market mapping, distributor acquisition, technical presentations, contract negotiations, and long-term account development. The position requires strong technical understanding of residential energy storage technologies combined with advanced commercial execution and regional market development capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute localized market expansion strategies for residential ESS products within Italy.
- Identify, approach, and establish partnerships with solar distributors, EPC companies, electrical wholesalers, and renewable energy solution providers.
- Build and manage a structured distributor pipeline with clear segmentation and sales prioritization.
- Conduct technical and commercial presentations regarding energy storage systems, lithium battery solutions, smart inverters, and residential backup power technologies.
- Lead contract negotiations, sample coordination, pricing discussions, and distributor onboarding processes.
- Monitor Italian renewable energy market trends, competitor activities, subsidy developments, and regulatory changes.
- Coordinate closely with headquarters regarding market intelligence, pricing strategy, and product positioning.
- Ensure effective implementation of distributor partnerships, commercial agreements, and delivery coordination.
- Drive repeat business and long-term account growth through continuous relationship management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Must hold permanent residency or long-term legal working rights in Italy.
- Minimum 3–5 years of direct commercial experience within residential ESS, solar energy, renewable energy, or related electrical infrastructure industries.
- Proven experience independently managing B2B distributor pipelines and channel development activities.
- Strong understanding of residential energy storage systems, lithium-ion batteries, inverter technologies, BMS, and solar energy ecosystems.
- Experience working with distributors, EPC firms, solar installers, electrical wholesalers, or renewable energy trading businesses.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong capability to independently manage regional business development activities.
- Fluent in English and Italian; Mandarin proficiency is mandatory for coordination with headquarters.
