Job Role
The General Manager will serve as the highest operational and commercial leader of the property, fully responsible for both revenue growth and day-to-day operations. This role requires a strong balance between hospitality leadership and business management, overseeing everything from OTA optimization, pricing strategy, occupancy growth, and partnerships, to housekeeping quality control, maintenance management, guest satisfaction, and team leadership.
Acting as the owner’s trusted operational partner, the successful candidate will lead the property as an independent business unit, ensuring the villas maintain exceptional service quality while continuously maximizing occupancy, ADR, profitability, and long-term brand reputation within Bali’s competitive luxury hospitality market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full operational management of the luxury villa complex, ensuring high hospitality and service standards.
- Develop and execute revenue strategies, including dynamic pricing, promotional campaigns, and occupancy optimization.
- Manage and optimize OTA platforms such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Agoda, and other booking channels.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and consumer demand within the Bali hospitality market.
- Supervise housekeeping, maintenance, guest relations, and daily property operations to ensure excellent guest experiences.
- Build, lead, train, and manage a high-performing hospitality operations team.
- Handle vendor coordination, procurement, inventory control, and operational budgeting.
- Prepare regular operational and financial reports, including occupancy forecasts, RevPAR analysis, and P&L reporting.
- Ensure compliance with local labor regulations, hospitality standards, and operational safety requirements.
- Maintain strong owner communication and provide strategic recommendations for business growth and operational improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management or other related fields.
- Minimum 8 years of experience within hospitality operations, particularly in boutique hotels, villas, or luxury hospitality properties.
- Minimum 3 years in senior leadership roles handling both operational management and commercial/revenue functions.
- Strong track record in revenue management, pricing strategies, occupancy optimization, and profit maximization within Bali’s hospitality market.
- Strong understanding of OTA platforms, booking algorithms, and Property Management Systems (PMS).
- Experienced in operational quality control, housekeeping standards, maintenance coordination, and guest satisfaction management.
- Strong financial literacy with the ability to manage budgets, analyze P&L reports, and forecast business performance.
- Professional English communication skills are mandatory due to direct interaction with expatriate ownership.
