Quality Associate
Location: Delhi (first 4 months), then GPM (Chattisgarh) / Seoni (Madhya Pradesh)

Mati Carbon is a climate-tech company implementing Enhanced Rock Weathering (ERW) as a nature-based carbon removal solution that also improves soil health and farmer livelihoods. We work closely with smallholder farmers across India, combining field operations, data systems, and rigorous monitoring to deliver high-quality and traceable outcomes.
Role Overview
The Quality Associate will focus on field-level audits, process compliance checks, and data quality verification across Mati Carbons operations. The role is hands-on and field-intensive, ensuring that on-ground activities, documentation, and digital records align with internal SOPs and program requirements.
The position will be based in Delhi for the initial 6 months to understand systems, processes, and reporting structures, after which the candidate will be stationed in GPM or Seoni and work closely with field teams on a regular basis.
Key Responsibilities
Field Audits & Process Compliance
- Conduct regular field audits across villages, farmer plots, and operational sites
- Verify adherence to internal SOPs for farmer enrollment, soil sampling, deployment, surveys, and data capture
- Cross-check physical activities against digital records (Farm App / internal tools)
- Identify deviations, gaps, and non-compliance at the field level
Audit Reporting & Corrective Actions
- Prepare clear and structured field audit reports with observations and evidence
- Track corrective actions with field associates and supervisors
- Follow up on repeat issues and support process improvements
Process Understanding & SOP Support
- Understand and apply internal SOPs and operational guidelines
- Provide practical feedback from the field to improve SOPs and workflows
- Support onboarding and refresher training of field teams on quality and compliance expectations
Compliance & Governance Support
- Support internal audits related to operational compliance and program integrity
- Assist during external audits or reviews by providing field-level evidence
- Ensure proper record-keeping and traceability of field operations
Travel & Posting
- Extensive travel to project locations and villages is required
- Initial posting in Delhi for ~4 months, followed by long-term stationing in GPM or Seoni. This is a field-oriented role, not a desk-based position
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelors degree in Agriculture, Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability,
- Rural Development, or a related field
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in field audits, operations auditing, quality checks, or compliance roles
- Experience working with field teams, NGOs, agri-projects, or rural programs is a strong

Technical & Functional Skills
- Ability to audit processes against defined SOPs and guidelines
- Strong documentation, observation, and reporting skills
- Comfort working with mobile apps, forms, spreadsheets, and digital records
