Job Summary

The Senior IT Administrator will be responsible for the strategic management, optimization, and security of the organization's IT infrastructure. Beyond day-to-day support, the successful candidate will lead infrastructure projects, ensure high system availability, and implement robust cybersecurity protocols to align technology with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Infrastructure Management: Lead the installation, configuration, and lifecycle management of servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., Azure, Microsoft 365).
  • Advanced Technical Support: Act as the final escalation point (Tier 3) for complex technical issues involving network connectivity, system outages, and software integration.
  • Security & Compliance: Design and maintain security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies (IAM), ensuring data integrity and GDPR compliance.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and manage backup strategies and disaster recovery plans to ensure 99.9% system uptime and business continuity.
  • Asset & Vendor Management: Oversee the IT asset inventory and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for procurement and maintenance.
  • Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to improve department efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years in a System/IT Administration role, with a proven track record of managing complex environments.
  • Certifications: Required or highly preferred: CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104). (CompTIA A+ is considered a baseline).
  • Skills: Expert knowledge of Windows/Linux Servers, Virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and Network Security.

Preferred Skills

  • Leadership: Ability to mentor junior IT staff and lead technical projects from conception to completion.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to stay ahead of IT trends and recommend technology upgrades that drive ROI.

Renumeration Package

  • Salary: €1,600 – €2,500 (Gross monthly) based on qualifications.
