JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish effective communications, good relations, and positive images with customers, promoting courtesy, objectivity, and fairness.
  • Manage Domestic projects from initiating, planning, execution, monitoring and controlling, and closing phases.
  • Maintain project margin and lead time execution.
  • For larger projects run a professional kickoff and weekly meetings with customers.
  • Escalate issues to the direct manager and sales manager as required.
  • Assess scope of work and resources required to successfully complete the project on time, with the highest quality, and lowest cost.
  • Verify project estimate for completeness with detailed review of proposal specifications, drawings, and all contract documents.
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage activities involved in purchasing materials, products, and services to meet customer requirements on time.
  • Monitor manufacturing efforts to ensure project is constructed in accordance with customers design, budget, and schedule.
  • Manage change orders from customer to ensure specifications are met on time at cost.
  • Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction/manufacturing methods as required.
  • Submit invoices for deposit and final project balances.
  • Create shipping Bill of Lading (BOL) using Bill of Materials (BOM) on domestic projects.
  • Support inventory adjustments or transfers to resolve insufficient quantities as needed.
  • Support and follow all safety practices.
  • Reconcile invoicing issues with Accounts Payable.
  • Other projects and tasks as assigned by direct manager.



QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Secret Security Clearance.
  • Bachelors degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on Project Management experience within a Manufacturing environment.
  • Must have professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Project Management Training and PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with storefront and curtain wall systems.
  • Ability to read architectural blueprints is required.
  • Knowledge of door hardware packages is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of Planning experience.
  • ERP systems experience. Sage 300 knowledge a plus.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products, Excel is a must.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
