Project Accountant (Construction Accounting)

> Job Responsibilities Include:
>
> * Review of financial status of projects to verify remaining
> contract balances
> * Creation of job cost reports
> * Analysis of accounts payable and payment bond claims, Owner
> claims and change orders
> * Preparation of payment applications
> * Analysis of the financial status of construction contractor
> * Assistance in the generation of Estimated Loss Reports based
> on contract status
> * Analysis of WIP schedules to determine contract status and
> cost to complete
> * Review and reconciliation of payment requisitions and invoices
> to record and coordinate appropriate payments
> * Quality control of check distribution
> * Creation of future forecasts to determine appropriate fund
> allocation
>
> Desired Skills and Qualifications Include:
>
> * 2-5 years of construction accounting experience preferred, but
> we will provide sufficient training.
> * Problem solving skills
> * Critical thinking skills
> * Strong interpersonal and writing skills
> * Proficient in Microsoft Suite
> * Intermediary to Advanced Excel Skills
> * Working knowledge of Accounting Software and Tools: Sage,
> QuickBooks, ComputerEase (preferred)
> * Certified Public Accountant license a plus
> * Surety experience is a plus, but we will train
