Minimum Requirements:
· Neat appearance, honesty and integrity.
· A minimum of a High School diploma or general education degree (GED) coupled with 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the locksmith field.
· Must maintain a valid NY state driver license.
· Must maintain a Master Locksmith license.
· Prior knowledge of high security locks and locking devices.
· Ability to pass and maintain a SWAC ID

Essential Responsibilities:
· Installs, repairs, rebuilds, and services mechanical, electrical, and electronic locking devices under the direction and supervision of the Manager.
· Disassembles locks such as padlocks, safe locks and door locks, and repairs or replaces worn tumblers, springs, and other parts.
· Inserts new or repaired tumblers into lock to change combinations.
· Cuts new or duplicate keys.
· Keeps records of locks and keys.
· Service Door closing (Surface, Concealed overhead, In Floor etc.) and opening devices (low power)
· troubleshoot electromechanical locking devices.
· Completes projects from initial layout to final assembly or installation to include basic structural framework.
· Repairs door screens; replaces or repairs window locks and operators.
· Performs all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Preferred Qualifications:
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
· Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
· Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
· Possession of industry related certifications i.e. Automatic door, Fire-door inspection, Low-Voltage License, SAVTA or ALOA classes, or AAAUE learning.
· Automotive locksmithing
· Knowledge of IT networking equipment and implementation
· CCTV

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:
· Works inside and outside in various weather conditions to include extreme cold and heat.
· Work around non-hazardous materials/waste lifting, stooping, crawling, bending, and carrying.
· Heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a daily basis.
· Constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills
