Overview:
Seeking a detail-oriented Collections Paralegal to assist attorneys in property-related debt recovery matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, experience in collections or litigation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced legal environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and maintain case files; request documents and communicate with clients.
  • Prepare and file pleadings, motions, and proposed orders in trial courts.

  • Manage e-filing, calendaring, and hearing or trial scheduling.

  • Draft and respond to correspondence, court inquiries, and payment requests.

  • Assist with discovery, trial preparation, and coordination of witnesses.

  • Conduct legal research and maintain organized case documentation.

  • Process payments and update internal systems as required.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; Paralegal Certificate or degree preferred.

    Minimum 3 years of experience as a Paralegal or Legal Assistant in a law firm setting.
  • At least 2 years of experience or exposure to debt collection and related compliance laws.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with legal case management software preferred.
