Position Summary

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing all maintenance operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will lead preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies while ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability across approximately 75-100 pieces of production equipment.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience, preferably in the automotive manufacturing industry, and strong hands-on knowledge of older and specialized machinery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance programs.
  • Schedule all maintenance activities and ensure timely repair and upkeep of plant equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Supervise, train, and work alongside maintenance staff, including 2-3 Maintenance Technicians on 1st shift and a Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Manage and maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, logs, and operational reports.
  • Create and manage work orders, ensuring proper prioritization and timely completion.
  • Monitor and manage inventory of replacement parts; ensure materials are available to reduce downtime.
  • Oversee maintenance budget development and cost-control strategies.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment including cutters, slitters, rotary machines with blades, presses (including heat presses), laminators, and other legacy machinery.
  • Ensure the safety, compliance, and efficient operation of all maintenance functions.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across maintenance and production operations.

Preferred Background & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Maintenance Manager in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is highly preferred.
  • Strong background working with older machinery and a variety of equipment types.
  • Proven supervisory experience, comfortable working hands-on alongside the team while assigning daily tasks.
  • Solid understanding of preventative maintenance scheduling, mechanical troubleshooting, and industrial equipment repair.

  • Manufacturing facility with ~75-100 total machines across cutters, slitters, rotary equipment, presses, and laminators.
  • Day shift schedule with occasional hands-on work as needed.
