Position Summary
An experienced Principal-in-Charge is needed to lead projects across education, commercial, and municipal sectors. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on project management, requiring a professional who can oversee complex projects, maintain strong client relationships, and ensure financial and operational success. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities while guiding teams to deliver high-quality results.
Qualifications & Expertise
- Proficiency in Revit for design and production workflows
- Demonstrated experience managing projects, clients, and project finances
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills
- Advanced knowledge of design processes, construction documentation, and construction administration
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contract negotiations
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Ability to build and maintain long-term professional relationships
Top 5 Must-Haves:
- Registered Architect with an architecture license in TX
- Previous experience in design & project management (design through construction phase)
- Leadership and mentoring experience required
- AutoCAD & Revit software
- Background in cultivating business relationships and unafraid of business development
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Principal-in-Charge and Project Manager on a variety of municipal projects
- Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, efficiency, and profitability
- Oversee all project phases, including planning, design, documentation, and construction administration
- Monitor and control project scope, schedules, and deliverables
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure high levels of satisfaction
- Supervise the integration of design and technical components across projects
- Ensure successful project closeouts in compliance with contractual requirements
- Support business development efforts and pursue new opportunities
- Hire, mentor, and supervise junior staff members
