The Opportunity
The Advanced Development Team is seeking a Test Engineer to support engine and component-level testing for new technologies and products. The role involves planning, coordinating, and executing testing within schedule and cost constraints while reporting results to project leadership. This position is cross-functional and may include design support tasks tied to testing requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in product design and development teams, providing input and feedback from assembly and test efforts; attend design and gate reviews.
  • Support design and manufacturing activities related to tooling, instrumentation, and hardware modification.
  • Prepare and maintain test planning documentation and assembly test orders; lead planning and readiness reviews.
  • Manage and direct assigned test resources to achieve objectives effectively.

  • Coordinate with the Test Methods group on facility needs and modifications.

  • Partner with project leadership to track schedule and scope.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering.

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant test experience required.

  • Background in project management, engineering design, and manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with NX and Teamcenter.

  • Experience with Python or similar tools for large data set processing.

  • Strong mechanical aptitude; knowledge of propulsion systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to support extended testing and travel to third-party facilities as needed.
  • U.S. citizenship required.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.
