Position Overview
The Sales Engineer is responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, identifying automation solutions, and driving sales growth within an assigned territory. This role combines technical expertise with business development to help manufacturing and automation customers improve operational performance and achieve measurable results.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective customers.
- Understand customer operations, products, and improvement goals.
- Identify decision-makers and manage the sales process from discovery to solution delivery.
Technical Sales & Solution Development
- Provide technical expertise and application support for automation solutions.
- Evaluate customer challenges and recommend process improvements.
- Conduct virtual and in-person meetings to assess needs and present solutions.
- Support large projects by evaluating equipment and solving technical applications.
Business Development
- Prospect new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve performance targets.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging automation technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a team-based selling environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- 3–7 years of technical sales experience preferred.
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
- Experience in industrial automation or manufacturing environments preferred.
