Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Chief Development Officer to lead all fundraising and development efforts for a mission-driven nonprofit. This role drives short- and long-term revenue strategy, donor engagement, campaigns, and organizational sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all fundraising initiatives, including annual giving, capital campaigns, grants, endowment, and planned giving
  • Oversee the development team and retail fundraising operations
  • Build and steward relationships with major donors, board members, and community partners
  • Lead donor communications, branding, and public-facing materials
  • Plan and execute signature fundraising events
  • Manage donor database, reporting, and gift agreements
  • Partner with executive leadership and the Board on development strategy and reporting

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of fundraising or development leadership experience

  • CFRE credential required

  • Demonstrated success with donor cultivation, campaigns, and events

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor management systems

Additional Requirements

  • Valid U.S. work authorization

  • Florida Driver's License

  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $130,000–$160,000

  • 36-hour work week
