Role Overview

Structural Engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design infrastructure and building systems. The role supports projects ranging from small-scale developments to large, complex facilities, including structural design for buildings and water/wastewater systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated design solutions
  • Support water and wastewater projects with structural expertise
  • Prepare construction documents (plans, sections, details, schedules, specifications, estimates)
  • Develop 2D/3D models and BIM-based designs
  • Ensure compliance with design codes and industry standards
  • Manage project timelines and coordinate with stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural focus); Master's preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license with relevant experience
  • Experience in structural design within a consulting environment
  • Additional state registrations preferred

Technical Skills

  • Structural design using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum
  • Knowledge of material design codes and industry standards
  • Experience with BIM and CADD standards
  • Proficiency in Revit, structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, STAAD), and drafting tools
  • Familiarity with tools such as BricsCAD and MicroStation is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
