Role Overview
Structural Engineer collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to design infrastructure and building systems. The role supports projects ranging from small-scale developments to large, complex facilities, including structural design for buildings and water/wastewater systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design structural systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integrated design solutions
- Support water and wastewater projects with structural expertise
- Prepare construction documents (plans, sections, details, schedules, specifications, estimates)
- Develop 2D/3D models and BIM-based designs
- Ensure compliance with design codes and industry standards
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (structural focus); Master's preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license with relevant experience
- Experience in structural design within a consulting environment
- Additional state registrations preferred
Technical Skills
- Structural design using steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and aluminum
- Knowledge of material design codes and industry standards
- Experience with BIM and CADD standards
- Proficiency in Revit, structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, STAAD), and drafting tools
- Familiarity with tools such as BricsCAD and MicroStation is a plus
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
