Project Engineer – Energy
Location: Richmond, California (On-site/Hybrid)
Overview:
The Project Engineer (PE) plays a critical role in supporting project management and field operations within the Energy sector. The PE ensures smooth project administration, collaborates closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, and contributes to scheduling, cost control, document management, and jobsite production. Additional responsibilities may include estimating, preconstruction, and business development support.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders (PCOs)
- Oversee subcontractor coordination and procurement tracking
- Support project startup and development of project-specific workplans
- Assist the Superintendent with weekly short-term scheduling to maximize efficiency
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings
- Manage project closeout including punchlists, O&Ms, spare parts, and warranties
- Represent the project to the Owner and maintain adherence to contracts and company procedures
- Escalate issues proactively to ensure project success

Qualifications
- Experience in Energy or Refinery construction, or 2–5 years in general construction projects
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related field
- Organized and systematic with strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of QSP, SWPPP, LEED, and sustainability is a plus
- Familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Primavera, Navisworks, Microsoft Project, or Viewpoint is a plus
Compensation

Salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 per year (excluding bonus/benefits)
