Project Engineer – Construction

Overview
The Project Engineer (PE) is a key member of the project team, supporting field operations and project management. The PE ensures smooth project administration, collaborates closely with the Superintendent and Project Manager, and contributes to scheduling, cost control, document management, and jobsite production. Additional responsibilities may include estimating, preconstruction, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage submittals, RFIs, and change orders (PCOs)
  • Coordinate subcontractors and oversee procurement tracking
  • Support project startup and team workplans
  • Assist the Superintendent with weekly short-term scheduling for efficient progress
  • Attend project meetings and represent the project on-site
  • Manage project closeout including punchlists, O&Ms, spare parts, and warranties
  • Ensure adherence to project contracts, notices, and company processes
  • Escalate issues proactively to support project success

Qualifications
  • 2–5 years of project experience across all phases of construction
  • Degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Organized with a systematic approach to high-level results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of managing diverse personalities
  • Knowledge of QSP, SWPPP, LEED, and sustainability practices is a plus
  • Familiarity with Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, Primavera, Navisworks, Microsoft Project, or Viewpoint is a plus
Compensation
  • Salary range: $95,000 – $115,000 per year (excluding bonus or benefits)
