Field Service Technician

We are currently seeking a skilled Field Service Technician, ideally proficient in both electrical/electronic and mechanical aspects. We offer some on-the-job training as well.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting aptitude.
  • Proficiency in interpreting electric/electronic ladder diagrams.
  • Competence in reading mechanical ANSI/ISO prints.
  • Willingness to travel, embracing new locations and challenges.
  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and self-management skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Engage with customer inquiries over the phone and provide responsive assistance.
  • Take charge of installations and tests, and furnish operational guidance to customer technicians/operators.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools to meticulously identify technical malfunctions and challenges.
  • Rectify faulty or broken mechanical components and manage the ordering process for necessary replacements.
  • Act as an advocate for the company's technical services, underscoring their benefits to clients.

Requirements for the Field Service Technician Role:

  • Independent work capability at customer sites, demonstrating adaptability and self-reliance.
  • Ability to travel regionally and out of state. Occasional travel may be required to service customers in Canada.
  • Effective time management for travel and on-site technical service duration.
  • Flexibility to accommodate varying work schedules and shifts.
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving issues based on customer-provided technical descriptions.
