Attorney - Litigation - Coverage & Bad Faith

Location & Commitments:

Practice Area / Department: Coverage, Bad Faith, Litigation  

Status: Full-Time / Exempt  

Work Location: Hybrid or Remote based - Must live in Florida

Occasional court appearances required in Jacksonville as needed. 


Responsibilities:

Help senior attorneys provide legal advice to clients, mainly in coverage and bad faith cases.  

Conduct legal research and write coverage opinions.  

Carry out Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).  

Draft and litigate declaratory judgment actions.  

Communicate with clients, insured parties, and opposing counsel.  

Prepare and respond to discovery requests in coverage and bad faith cases.  

Assist with trial preparation and deposition work.  

Handle pre-suit liability matters, including reviewing medical records and engaging in pre-suit settlement talks.  

Help manage multiple competing claims cases.  

Keep client files updated for easy access by the team.


Requirements & Competencies:

Admittance to the Bar in Florida

Strong verbal and written communication skills.  

Ability to work independently and with a team.  

Must meet billing goals.
